     Location: Roseville is located 405 miles north of Los Angeles, 102 miles northeast of San Francisco, and 16 miles north of Sacramento,

     Area: 35.62 square miles

     Elevation: 165 feet above sea level

     Climate & Rainfall: Roseville is located on the eastern edge of the Sacramento Valley at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Because
     of its proximity to the foothills, Roseville has slightly different weather averages from Sacramento.

  

Population:
As of January 1, 2011, Roseville’s population was estimated to be 120,593 according to the State Department of Finance.

Roseville’s daytime population is estimated to be 150,000. Daytime population is calculated based upon the number of residents who commute outside the City and those who travel to Roseville to work, shop, and do business.
